The pressure to create

To perform.

To put out content.

Is something I think a lot of us can relate to.

It may come in different forms. For you, it may be reports, presentations, excel sheets, designs. But in the end, it’s something that’s constantly on our minds.

The pressure can come from your boss, a close deadline, bills that need to get paid etc. As an ‘entrepreneur’ (putting it out into the universe), the biggest pressure comes from you. Yourself.

(No, let me correct this and make it personal)

The biggest pressure for me comes from me, myself, my mind.

The pressure to perform and put things out there.

The pressure to get things done.

To keep relevant.

To keep up.

To keep fresh.

I put pressure on myself mentally

Just enough to keep me moving and producing content for you on a weekly.

But, I also give myself a bit too much pressure sometimes. I overthink or get myself into a state where I’m discouraged. Where my mind is too focused on producing to be able to produce. Times where I have to tell myself  “Yo. It’s okay. Give yourself and your mind a break. Nobody’s gunna fight you. Nobody’s gunna fire you. You’ll be fine.”

On the other hand

Sometimes I wonder if I should increase the pressure. Push myself that extra mile. Go hard and push to work on other things I need to make the blog/vlog/brand grow. And accept the surge of thoughts that comes with it.

But, I also don’t want to feel THAT stressed.

As you may (or may not) have noticed, last week I didn’t release a blog post. And that was because I was trying to calm myself down. Clear my head from the internal pressure, so that I would be free and clear to produce.

Produce content for you again.

And here I am (or here you are rather).

Back in my thoughts, yet another week 🙂

Thank you for that 🙏🏾

And here’s a reminder to myself – Consistency is key Alyssa!!

Keep going.

Yours truly,

Global Gyal
